Funding Assistance for public agencies, non-profit organizations, private businesses

We offer funding assistance to public agencies, non-profit organizations, private businesses, educational institutions and other qualified parties. Generally, funding is available for innovative projects that promote source reduction, decrease the amount of waste disposed in Alameda County landfills, and encourage the development, marketing and use of recycled content products.

The agency has the following grant programs:

• Mini Grants (for funding requests under $5,000)
• StopWaste Partnership Funding (designed to assist in the implementation of waste prevention, reuse and recycling projects at work)
• Use Reusables Grants (designed to assist in the implementation of reusable transport packaging)
• Grants to Non-Profits
• Green Building Grants
• Bay-Friendly Landscaping Grants

The Agency also provides a low interest Revolving Loan Fund and releases Requests for Proposals for specific projects or tasks from time to time.
