Anchor Schools

Dedicated to Waste Prevention and Reduction

As a StopWaste Anchor School, you are committed to educating students to apply their skills and knowledge in action-based learning to stop waste at home, at school, and in their community. StopWaste anchor schools are given priority for StopWaste project support and resources.

StopWaste Anchor Schools commit to:

Planning hours to take action with StopWaste educators
Supporting student led action projects, classroom programs and field trips
Pilot new innovative waste reduction programs as available

To be eligible to become an anchor school, your school needs to have participated in a StopWaste School program within the last three years, and have one lead administrator, teacher or club leader as the main liaison.
