Bay-Friendly Maintenance Training, Jan. 2017 - SOLD OUT!

The Bay-Friendly Training & Qualification Course for Maintaining Existing Landscapes provides a comprehensive education in environmentally responsible strategies for professional landscape maintenance. The Bay-Friendly training program is offered by ReScape California and sponsored in Alameda County by StopWaste.

This course is free for eligible staff of public agencies in Alameda County. StopWaste will pay the entire $495 registration fee – see below for details. (If you do not meet the scholarship criteria, go to ReScape California's website for registration information.)

Criteria for StopWaste Scholarship

  • You are staff with one of our Member Agencies (the County of Alameda, the 14 cities in Alameda County, and Oro Loma and Castra Valley Sanitary Districts), AND
  • You are able to attend all four days of training (January 10, 17, 24 and 31), AND
  • You do one or more of the following:
    • maintain civic landscapes
    • supervise employees who maintain civic landscapes
    • are responsible for capital improvements in your city/jurisdiction that include public landscapes
    • manage new developments for your city/jurisdiction
  • AND you have not taken the Bay-Friendly Landscape Maintenance Training before.
