The City of Hayward's Route 238 Capital Improvement Project recently earned the coveted Bay-Friendly Rated Landscape designation. Route 238 is the biggest Bay-Friendly Rated Landscape to date and the largest capital improvement project in Hayward's history. The project's Bay-Friendly features will save more than two million gallons of water annually compared to conventional grass medians.
