Light Bulbs
Compact fluorescent bulbs, high intensity discharge bulbs (HID), and light emitting diode (LED) bulbs are hazardous and must NOT go in any trash, recycling, or composting bin.
Incandescent light bulbs (including those made with argon, krypton, and xenon gases), and halogen bulbs are not hazardous waste and can be put in the trash.
Disposal Options:
- Hazardous bulbs can be disposed of at all Alameda County Hazardous Waste Facilities and One-Day Events.
