Sustainable Landscapes 2020 Report
Since 2005, StopWaste has provided technical assistance, training, grants and other resources to help its member agencies promote and implement environmentally sound landscape practices. Our work together has had deep and lasting positive impacts on Alameda County communities.
In 2020, StopWaste is phasing out its Landscape Services project. We're confident that our member agencies have the expertise and motivation to continue upholding robust sustainable landscape standards in their communities.
We encourage public agencies and landscape professionals in Alameda County and beyond to engage with ReScape California (ReScape), a nonprofit organization that administers the ReScape Rated Landscape program and provides training and other resources for landscape professionals.
Rated Landscapes in Alameda County, 2005-2020
In Alameda County, 84 properties have earned the ReScape Rated Landscape designation. ReScape Rated Landscape, previously known as Bay-Friendly Rated Landscape, is a mark of excellence for environmentally sustainable landscapes in Northern California. The rating program is administered by ReScape.
