Up to $2,500 for Alameda County Food Businesses
Does your business currently use disposable plates, cups, utensils and other food service items for on-site dining and/or take-out?
For a limited time, StopWaste is offering up to $2,500* and free, hands-on technical support from our nonprofit partner, ReThink Disposable, to set you up with reusable foodware.
Why Reusable Foodware?
- It’s Safe
Reusable plates, cups, utensils, and other food service items are approved for use by the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health. Learn more. - Saves Money
Businesses that have switched to reusable foodware save $3,000-$21,000 each year, even when accounting for labor and water expenses. Plus, no more worries about disposable foodware shortages! - Helps the Planet
Reusables prevent litter and pollution of our local waterways, and save massive amounts of natural resources.
*Actual funding amount depends on size and complexity of the project. Conversions at small to medium sized businesses are typically funded in the $300-500 range to help pay for reusable foodware items. Projects at larger businesses and those that require minor kitchen upgrades and/or dishwashing expenses are considered for funding amounts up to $2,500. Subject to availability of funds.
