Measure D established the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Board. It was approved by the voters of Alameda County in November, 1989 by a margin of 63%. The requirements and prohibitions contained within the Alameda County Waste Reduction and Recycling Initiative apply to the County of Alameda, as an entity, and to unincorporated areas within the county.
