The Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste Program will host several community drop-off events this year. In addition to the traditional HHW materials generated in homes and gardens, medicine and controlled substances will now be collected. For the first time, residents can bring mattresses and box springs to the drop-off event!
Medicines, unless specifically stated on the packaging, should never be flushed down the toilet or placed in the trash.

This Bill of Lading has a price schedule and more information about the Business Hazardous Waste Drop-in Service. The service accepts latex paint, aerosol cans, fluorescent lamps, and household batteries. Fill out this form and bring it with you when you drop-in at the facility.
